Advice on managing healthcare costs
  • Hello,

I had a chronic autoimmune disease I was dealing with about ten years ago, that has been in remission. Recently it seems to be coming back, and I only have very bad health insurance available to me, with a high deductible. The deductible is 2600 and after that it's 40% co-insurance. I also have a 5000 out of pocket maximum.(pretty sure I'll hit the maximum this year.) Is there anything I can do to minimize these expenses? I heard aflac offers a supplemental policy to cover deductibles? I know I'm going to need and endoscopy, ect done and that alone should cost the 2600 deductible. It's really going to be tough affording an extra 5000 a year on top of my 300 a month premiums, so I am trying to figure something out.

    Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
