"If you like your policy you can keep it"--The Senate Dems say "NO"
  • Sept 29, 2010 Sen. Enzi (R-WY) offered a joint resolution in the Senate that would kill the new ObamaCare regulation that ensures that all health care plans will lose their grandfather status within a couple of years. Under the letter of the law, health care plans that don’t offer the government’s idea of essential health benefits were permitted to still be offered as long as they don’t change anything in the policy. A price change, even minor policy change, means that the policy loses its grandfather rights and cannot be renewed without rewriting it to obey all of the ObamaCare’s rules and regs. This is why MILLIONS of health plans are being cancelled.

    Do you remember this:

In 2009, the President tried to clarify his campaign line to ABC News:
“When I say ‘If you have your plan and you like it,… or you have a doctor and you like your doctor, that you don't have to change plans,’” the president said after we asked him about this, “what I'm saying is the government is not going to make you change plans under health reform.”

The Senate voted on the Enzi resolution in 2010 and very single Republilcan Senator voted yes. (40) Every single GOP Senator voted to overturn the regulation that is causing health care plans to be cancelled. Every single Democratic Senator voted against the Enzi resolution. (59) Every single Democratic Senator voted to keep the HHS regulation in place that causes Millions of health plans to be cancelled because of ObamaCare.
